Have you ever gone grocery shopping without mom and mistaken one type of green for another? You know, like coriander, mint, parsley and spinach? Or stood in the aisle that has dals, pulses and lentils not knowing which is which? If you have, we’re here to tell you that you’re definitely not alone. It has happened to the best of us.
Here’s what happened with Twitter user Venkata Krishna:
Got half kg of ginger instead of Garlic… Waiting for mom and wife to explode 3,2,1…..

Thankfully, he is still alive and giving some of the extra ginger away 😛
Got confused.

Thankfully they seem to believe in non-violence. Their plan is to serve me ginger tea for the next 1 month!

Curry leaves and coriander leaves also are part of this confusion when you go out.

I always get confused after reading “sambar dal” in the list. Still dont know whether it’s toor dal or urad dal or whole urad dal or anything else.

The best thing to do in these situations is to look for recipes that require the ‘wrong’ ingredient you purchased and use it all up. And of course, remembering not to make the same mistake again!
