89-Year-Old Kerala Grandmother Learns To Use Laptop To Read News, People Salute Her ‘Can Do’ Spirit

With smartphones and other digital devices, we have access to all the information available in this world. But some people, including our parents and grandparents, still prefer reading world news on the physical copies with their morning tea. But, this grandma is too cool to stay outdated, hence she decided to accept the change and go digital!

A Reddit user identified as Arun Thomas recently posted a couple of picture of his 89-year-old grandmother learning to use the laptop to read e-newspapers.

In the pictures, one can see the young-at-heart granny named Mary Mathew sitting in front of a laptop and probably reading the obituary section of an online newspaper. So, grand-mommish!

Speaking to Storypick, her grandson Arun revealed that she starts off by reading the obituary to keep track of the people who died in a week. “She is really sweet,” he commented. He added that she likes reading Mathrubhumi, a Malayalam language newspaper.
