Kids go crazy during Halloween! Wearing adorable costumes, holding a basket in their hands, and knocking on several doors asking for candy, they return home with bright smiles and a bit too much of sweet treats! God, the number of candies adults have to hand out!
However, one desi grandpa didn’t mind. In fact, he was waiting with buckets filled with candy to give out! According to a report by News18, the elderly man had just beaten cancer and was waiting to celebrate his first Halloween post his illness with kids.
A video of the old man waiting patiently on the sofa and surrounded with candies was posted on Twitter by his grandson.
My grandpa just recently won his battle with cancer and I've never seen him so excited to give out candy to kids. Pls come to our house 🥺 pic.twitter.com/5zdM46FYt6

He went on to reveal how it was raining that day in his locality. Hence, not many kids were able to show up which disheartened him a little.
It rained really hard where I live so not many kids came 🙁 He was really bummed out until I showed him the support he got online! He obviously acted like a tough guy but he's been repeatedly asking to see the tweet every few hours LOL

After 20 mins of explaining the Internet and Twitter to my grandpa, he finally understands the level of support he's gotten and says he wishes he could give all of you candy ❤️ To every person that stopped to show support, I love and appreciate you for making our day 🙂
