75-YO Grandma’s Workout Routine At The Gym Puts Other Fitness Enthusiasts To Shame

There is this popular belief that elderly people shouldn’t move around too much or strain their bodies. They are expected to lie down or sit for most of the day. People are scared that if elderly people exercise or cause stress to their bodies, they might end up suffering an injury. But what people don’t realise is that our bodies are like machines. If you don’t make them work, they’ll gather dust and rust.

Research has shown that elderly people who work out have better cardiovascular health which further increases their longevity. It improves their motor function and their overall well-being. You may read more on this here.

A wonderful example of this is 75-year-old Lauren Bruzzone. This grandma goes to the gym and kills it. She spends time doing hard-core weight training that includes weighted pull-ups, difficult push-up variations that also work on her balance, deadlifts, etc.

It seems like her love affair with the gym has been going on for years because she aces even the most difficult workouts like it’s no big deal. The fact that she can balance herself on 4 tiny dumbells is beyond me.

These exercises are very difficult to nail unless you have spent many years practising. She might look like a frail old woman but once she opens her jacket, you can see the muscles and veins on her arms. Bro, she is ripped!
