Meet the 89-year-old grandma whose opinions on sex are being widely lauded online. She is a doctor and the grandmother of Avanti Nagral, an artist based in Mumbai. In a video, Ajji talks about consent, the right time to have sex, and much more.
“Sex is something nobody wants to talk about openly,” she says.
In her opinion, sex stems from a feeling of physical and emotional attraction towards a person. Being an ardent follower of Ayurveda, she says that ideally, women are free to act upon their sexual desires at the age of 16 and men at 25. However, that age can be reduced to 20 for men, she believes.
She goes on to add that it is necessary to be 100% sure before one has sex with another person.
When it comes to consent, she says it is the most important.
