Internet Explorer is finally about to retire. Yes, you read that right. According to a report by Business Standard, Microsoft has recently announced that it would be shutting down Internet Explorer support by August 2021. The decision comes after barely 1.3% of the world’s internet surfers used IE in July 2020, most of whom supposedly opened it “by mistake”.
According to TOI, in a statement provided by Microsoft, support for Internet Explorer will end post August 17, 2021. This means that the browser will stop working on Microsoft products like Office 365, Outlook, etc.
People on the internet are bidding a final yet hilarious goodbye to Internet Explorer, their favourite “Chrome downloader”, with jokes and memes. Have a look:

By far, Google Chrome is the most popular browser, followed by Safari, Mozilla’s Firefox, and Opera.
Fare thee well, IE! Another part of our childhood dies with you.
