Glenn Maxwell Takes A Catch That Stuns Everyone From The Commentators To The Internet

This year, cricketing fans have had their fair share of weird. First there was the bowler from UP who spun himself before delivering his ball. Then there was the match between Pakistan and New Zealand, where the batsmen took 5 runs in one ball just by running. And finally, we were reminded of George Bailey‘s odd batting stance.

However, now it’s time for some awesome, courtesy of Australia’s Glenn Maxwell.

Australia took on South Africa in a T-20 match, in which Faf du Plessis smacked the ball towards the boundary. Initially, it looked it was going for a six, but in came Glenn Maxwell.

Just like how Newt Scamander apparates and disapparates in the ‘Fantastic Beasts‘ movies, Maxwell came out of nowhere to catch the ball. And it wasn’t a simple catch. Before floating beyond the boundary line, he threw the ball back into the safe zone and caught it again. It was nothing short of magic!

The commentators were obviously surprised by Glenn Maxwell’s catch, and so were netizens.
