13 Problems Only A Girl Wearing A Saree Will Relate To

Safety pin? Check. Backup clothes? Check. Friend to handle any saree mishap? Double check. If  you’re the kind of person who needs longer preparation time than the actual length of the saree then you can very easily (and embarrassingly) relate to the following:

1. Walking in a saree is a Herculean Task

Let alone walk gracefully.

2. You always need sandals that help you NOT to trip over the saree’s hem

And to make sure that the saree doesn’t get draped too high or too low

3. When you’re wearing a heavy saree, you are literally too slow to do anything else

*please don’t make me fall, please don’t make me fall*

4. And you are ALWAYS terrified that the saree might open up in public

5. Hence, you have enough pins on your saree to open up a shop

6. Accessorizing right is troublesome

And when little bit becomes too much, you don’t understand.

7. Your palloo is always a concern

You’re always worried about it getting stuck in a bush, or falling off your shoulder.

8. You are always conscious about your stomach showing

You cover it when you’re sitting down and/or getting up.

9. You feel restricted in a saree

Can’t run. Can’t hold things in two hands because one hand is always occupied with the saree. Ugh.

10. Wanting to go to the bathroom makes you feel sad

It is hands down the most “non-graceful” task you can do wearing a saree.

11. But, nothing compares to how wonderful you look in a saree

12. There are so many different looks you can sport with it

It does get difficult to pick a style.

13. And when all the compliments and jaw drops start flowing in,

You are like: *Blush* *Blush*

In the end, all the troubles you take wearing a saree seems to be worth it.

After all, a saree is a sign of a Desi Girl. 😉
