Twitter Can’t Stop Showering Love On This 8-Year-Old Girl Who Was Called Fat By Her Crush

No matter how horrible it may sound, but it is a fact that we are living in a pretentious world that judges a person based on their physical appearance rather than focusing on their inner goodness. Body-shaming and fat-shaming have become as common as the day of light and it is not just adults that get affected by it, but kids too.

Twitter user Briseyda from Texas, USA, uploaded pictures of her 8-year-old cousin, Alyssa, who wanted to go for a run because her crush called her ‘fat’.

During the run, Alyssa told her cousin that her classmates, and a boy she likes named Hector, made fun of her. To which, Briseyda told her that it is good if she wants to workout to be healthy but not because someone mocked her.

Now maybe it was Briseyda’s advice or she forgot about it, but pretty soon Alyssa was seen eating a snack. (Which apparently, she mysteriously pulled out of thin air)

As soon as Briseyda shared the story on Twitter and it went viral, everyone started coming out in support of the little girl.

9. Well said

10. And then came this guy

In all seriousness, Hector and the other kids are probably 8 or 9-year-olds themselves and they probably didn’t know the impact their teasing will make on that little girl’s mind.

However, for adults who like to body-shame others, a big middle-finger salute to you from my side.
