Bride Enters Her Wedding ‘Undertaker Style’, In A Coffin, Personifies ‘Till Death Do Us Part’

In the olden days, desi brides used to arrive at their shaadis on a palanquin or palki. Then came the bridal entry trend of a phoolon ki chaddar which was carried by the bride’s brothers. But now, new-age brides are pushing the envelope and thinking of cooler, more unique ways to make an entrance. From flying eagles, boats, vintage cars, golf carts, bikes to rickshaws, nothing is off-limits.

However, one bride has outdone everyone by arriving at her wedding reception in a coffin! News18 reports that this was the marriage celebration of a couple from Ghana.

The video shows a coffin being brought to the venue covered in black fabric. Subsequently, a man opens it and the bride emerges to loud cheering from the guests. Then she begins dancing happily as people around her compliment her and take photos/videos.

While some poked fun at the bizarre bridal entry, others were not impressed. They questioned the logic behind such a decision that blurs the line between a celebration and a funeral.

What is the weirdest way you’ve seen a couple arrive at their own wedding – road rollers, batmobiles or something else? Tell us.
