Gautam Gambhir Says “Let Civilians Decide What ‘F’ Stands For In MFN” Status For Pakistan

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir will always be remembered for playing an integral part in two of India’s biggest ICC triumphs – the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the Cricket World Cup in 2011. Hailed as the perfect ‘big game player’, the left-handed genius has always stood up for his country when it needed the most.

Though the 37-year-old has retired from his duties as a cricketer, he continues to lend his support as a responsible citizen of the country. From taking a stand on social issues to raising his voice against injustice, Gambhir has always for what is right.

And now, two days after the country was rattled by the horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Gambhir took to Twitter with a piece of news for Pakistan.

The cricketer who is mourning the death of 44 valiant soldiers along with the whole country, mentioned that India should, in fact, continue their MFN status given to Pakistan.

But wait. There is a condition. According to Gambhir, this time, the civilians would decide what the letter ‘F’ in MFN will stand for.

“I have some news for Pakistan. We should continue their ‘MFN’ status. Only thing is, that this time we the civilians will decide what ‘F’ stands for.”

And you already know what he means.

India has already the withdrawn ‘most-favoured nation’ or MFN status to Pakistan following a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on Friday.

That was a typical Gautam Gambhir cover drive!
