It takes a lot of courage and perseverance to dedicate one’s life for the service of the country. But it takes a whole lot of love and commitment to be the spouse of men and women serving the country.
Garima Abrol is one such wife who took pride in sending her husbands to the battlefield with her head held high. But an unfortunate incident took the life of her husband Samir Abrol in February this year.
Samir Abrol died when test-flying a Mirage2000 fighter plane at HAL Airport in Bengaluru this February.
Five months later, Garima proved that the loss of her husband only made her stronger. According to reports, she has cracked the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview held at the Air Force Selection Board (AFSF) at Varanasi and is set to join the Air Force Academy in Dundigal in 2020.
Author Swapnil Pandey recently posted about Garima’s decision to honour her husband:
There is a special metal Armed Forces wives are made off. While it takes years to make a soldier and create a whole…
Netizens lauded her for the lovely gesture:
We are proud of Garima who decided to continue her husband’s legacy and honour him as a brave heart.
