Navratri is here!
The festival that spreads across nine days is celebrated throughout India with different names. However, it holds a special place in the heart of people hailing from Gujarat. For them, Navratri is synonymous with dressing up, dancing all night, eating good food, and worshipping the nine avatars of Goddess Durga.
But coronavirus pandemic, like many other things, has taken a toll on these festivities too. However, a group of fashion designing students came up with a unique idea to celebrate the festival while protecting themselves from the virus. The students from Gujarat’s Surat designed the new-age Garba costumes with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) suits.
In a video shared online, they can be seen doing Garba donning hand-painted costumes made of PPE suits, reported NDTV. They gave colorful makeovers to PPE suits with multicolored dupattas and detachable skirts.
Their unique way of celebrating the festival while protecting themselves from the virus tickled many funny bones. Here’s how people reacted to this jugaad.

This reminds me of the popular saying, ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way!’ Happy Navratri, everyone!
