Recently, we saw how the lockdown and the lack of human activity turned a toxic and foamy river Yamuna into clear and blue. In addition to this, the clear blue sky in Mumbai, declining air pollution in Delhi, and wild animals roaming in the streets is proof that nature is recovering from mankind’s harm. With the Yamuna recovering, how can river Ganga be left behind?
A video capturing crystal clear waters of river Ganga at Rishikesh’s Lakshman Jhula is going viral on social media, reports India Today. The water is so clear that even the rocks on the river bed are visible! Have a look:

People on the internet are amazed by how speedily nature is reclaiming itself. Many have come to realise the amount of damage the human race imposed upon mother nature!
I don't remember the Ganga being like this at Lakshman jhoola ever… Upstream from here, it was, but not right at Rishikesh. Most special place, lovely to see this.

Nature has been a big beneficiary of the lock down.Even people have been detoxified as most of them have no supplies of toxins and eating home food mostly

All that the humans needed to do to clean Ganga was to do nothing. 😳

A year ago, the Ganga water was announced “unfit” for direct drinking and bathing due to high pollution levels. Who would have thought that a year later, within a month, Ganga would turn crystal clear!
The lockdown has certainly turned out to be a blessing for mother nature!
