For Game of Thrones fans, the hiatus is as devastatingly painful as watching the Starks make one bad decision after another (sorry Ned). Season 8, the grand finale of this epic, record-busting television phenomenon, is probably the most awaited final season of any TV show in history. And the truth is, we cannot wait. Especially us book readers, who already have enough waiting to do on their plate, thanks to George R R Martin and his forever WIP, Winds of Winter.
But for us parched folk, even a few droplets of BTS pictures, sneaky set photos, fan theories and cast news (Kit & Rose’s wedding, y’all!) feel like an elixir. Which means, Jason Momoa’s recent Instagram post just become a well full of water to quench our thirst!
Jason Momoa’s Instagram is often a treasure trove of outrageously funny posts, sometimes with the ‘Moon of his life’ Emilia Clarke, or the Game of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and DB Weiss. And in his latest post too, Khal Drogo didn’t disappoint!
He posted a bunch, yes a WHOLE BUNCH, of pictures of himself with various members of the cast and the showrunners at Belfast, doing absolutely mental things and just having a good time. From his caption, and the presence of a couple or two fellow cast members who’ve been killed off, it looks like filming for Season 8 is over and these could probably be from the wrap party!

Awww, look at that pretty pose he’s pulling with groom-to-be Kit Harington! Clearly Jon Snow knows a thing or two about impressing his uncle/the dead husband of his girlfriend/aunt! Yeaaaah… ignore that.

I spy with my little eye, showrunners David and Dan fraternising with Khal Drogo and a certain dwarf who calls himself the ‘God of Tits and Wine’! Hey there, Tyrion Lannister!
And what do we have here? A picture that’s never possible in the show, but in IRL, All Men Must Pose! I present to you, Bran Stark/Three-Eyed Raven, Grey Worm, Daenerys Targaryen (yeah not writing her full name and titles, you’re welcome), Khal Drogo, Samwell Tarly and… Robert ‘fookin’ Baratheon!
You see that guy in the background, behind Mark Addy, photobombing the most epic photo-op? Yeah, that face would be me.
And here it looks like Khal Drogo and The Mountain had a drinking match, and it was definitely a tie! Not to mention, those pearly smiles flashing from the other picture!
After all, Baratheon ka swaagat toh selfie se kiya jata hai! (If you get the joke, don’t kill me. If you don’t, same.)
The lovely friendship that Emilia Clarke shares with her Sun and Stars, Jason Momoa, is adorable AF! How else do you explain that crackling chemistry on the show and these crazy photo ideas?

It’s amazing how fun Daenerys can be when she isn’t worrying herself sick about her dragon babies and plans to conquer Westeros. She posted this full on ‘Girl Power’ picture with her #Main, Missandei!
And yet again, I implore you to not miss the caption, which is so many levels of BFF Goals right there, and hints at a wrap!
Wait, it’s not over! Nathalie Emmanuel, Missandei to you, also shared the same picture on her Instagram and wrote this:

I just burst with a whole gamut of emotions that only Game of Thrones can extract from me! And so much FOMO, you guys! Folks, go ahead and send that raven because it looks like the end is indeed really near, even though you didn’t spot any dragons or white walkers in the pictures.
