Gautam Gambhir made headlines yesterday when he made a kind pledge to provide for the education of the children of the martyrs of the Sukma Naxal attacks. The deadly attacks took the lives of 25 valiant CRPF soldiers and Gambhir even expressed that he was moved to the core by seeing the gut-wrenching pictures.

Yesterday, Gambhir-led IPL team, ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’ defeated the ‘Delhi Daredevils’ in style with the southpaw leading from the front with a blistering 71*. After the game, Gambhir was chosen for the ‘man-of-the-match’ award for his brilliant innings and he made yet another contribution to the families of the martyrs by donating whatever money he earns in the tournament to them.
