Herron Wask shared a wonderful video compilation of the top 10 future weapons of India. The video is based on a list originally published by Indian Aerospace/Defense News. Here are the things you can expect in the near future:

10. Arjun MK-II Main Battle tank

This is being developed as the futuristic main battle tank of the Indian Army and an improved version of the Mk-I.

9. INS Vikrant / IAC-I

This is one of the mighty aircraft carriers, one of the power projections of Indian Navy. It’s still under construction. It has the following features:

Weight: 45000 tonnes.

 

8. HAL Tejas Mark – IP

This aircraft is the result of HAL (Hindustan Aeronautical Limited) and ADA (Aeronautical Developmental Agency). It has been code-named Tejas Mark 1A. Still under construction, it will have the following features:

Loaded weight: 9,500 kg, Empty weight: 6,500 kg

 

7. Hypersonic BrahMos Cruise Missile

India and Russia agreed to develop this cruise missile which has the ability to destroy even the most modern interception systems. Russia had provided the propulsion system, a RAMJET propulsion engine and India provided the missile casing, critical mission computers and software, navigational systems and guidance systems.

 

6. AURA UCAV

Being developed by the DRDO for the IAF, this is Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV).

 

5. Kalvari Class Submarines/ Project-75
