FRIENDS aired on TV from 1994 to 2004 but even after 25 years, it remains special for the fandom. All 236 episodes work as instant pick-me-ups when we’re feeling stressed or depressed. Which is probably why the sitcom was the second most-watched show in 2018.
And our excitement for anything and everything related to six characters on the show knows absolutely no bounds. Whether it was Rachel Green’s Instagram debut which literally broke the internet or a Mondler selfie that gave us all the right feels, we were keeping our fingers crossed for a chance to see all of them on-screen one last time.
Looks like the stars have finally aligned!
According to CBS News, HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television are bringing together the show’s creators (David Crane and Marta Kauffman) and the original cast (Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer) for an unscripted reunion special episode.
BBC reports that Jennifer Aniston had earlier hinted at something while talking to Ellen DeGeneres by saying, “We would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying.”
NY Post reports that contracts and schedules have yet to be hashed out but fans can’t contain their excitement. Take a look.
I just cried tears of excitement as I just learned that #HBOMax is in talk to make a reunion with the original cast and creators or #Friends! I’m so pumped I don’t think you understand right now. pic.twitter.com/ZpyV1IyChy

A few of them, however, have raised doubts about the fact that it will be unscripted. They hope that it doesn’t turn out to be an episode where each actor talks about his/her favourite moments from the show. Do you?
