Fortis Hospital Debacle Refuses To Die, Twitter Is Still Busy Roasting Them With Hilarious Jokes

Gone are the days when humans had only three basic necessities. Now, along with food, clothing and shelter, affordable education and healthcare are also a must, ‘affordable’ being the operative word. However, the recent Fortis Hospital case has blown wide open the lack of affordable healthcare in India.

Recently, Fortis Hospital in Gurugram billed a father Rs.18 lakh for the treatment of his seven-year-old daughter, who was suffering from dengue and eventually succumbed to it.

The ensuing outrage has stirred up quite a storm for Fortis Healthcare, with more and more people coming forward with their stories.

Government intervention has been sought in what is now being termed as a case of criminal medical extortion, with the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) looking into the matter.

Not one to be left behind, the Tweeple have already begun their ‘proceedings’ against Fortis Hospital by doing what they do best—savage trolling.

Gone are the days of satirical street plays and poetry. Sarcastic tweets and mocking memes are the order of the day. We bring you a few choice gems.

That being said, Twitter has its own brand of justice that it delivers via humour, and often, it knows how to hit right where it hurts!
