Have you heard of a flight ‘forgetting’ its passengers? No? Well, now you have! 😀

The flight SG 154 left these passengers wondering what was going on!

The 40 passengers who couldn’t get on the plane were the last lot that was ferried from the airport building to the aircraft via bus coach.

As it was raining heavily, the bus stopped for 30 minutes. The infuriated passengers were waiting inside the bus when they noticed the aircraft taking off. Witnessing that, they thought it must be some other flight.

Soon, they realised it was their flight, SG 154.

The pilots were alerted by the air traffic control and airline staff. Only then the flight returned to pick up their passengers and leave…again!

However, this was not the only misadventure by SpiceJet that happened. The flight was delayed by 75 minutes already, owing to air traffic congestion at Mumbai airport.

One of the passengers, Karthik Ramani recounts the hapless incident:

The airline attributed the delay to air traffic congestion at Mumbai airport. We were to land in Mumbai at 8.55 PM; instead, the departure was moved to 8.10 PM. I was on the last bus that was carrying about 40-50 passengers to the aircraft ladder point. It stopped at a spot on the apron and remained there for close to 30 minutes.

Turns out, the passengers were not the only ones who were angry. The flight commander became angry too and had to be pacified by the crew.

The flight finally left 20 minutes after that.

Someone in the Spicejet control room must have been in a real hurry. Imaginary conversation below:

“Chalo chalo..jane do plane ko.”
“Sir…”
“Chup…jane do.”
“Sir..”
“What happened?”
“Jane diya..but 40 log bus me hai, unko kaha jane du?”

What say? 😉
