You cannot have a conversation on Bollywood, without the Khans. The three biggest names in the industry Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir have ruled the industry for over 20 years and continues to do so. And expectedly, the trio holds extraordinary market value and are the highest paid actors in the country.
But wait. There is a twist. What if I tell you only one of them belongs to the top 100 highest paid celebrities in the world? Yes, that’s a reality.
The 2018 Forbes highest paid celebrity list was released yesterday, and it is Salman Khan who has retained his spot from last time. While Shah Rukh Khan could not be found on the chart, the ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar was the second BTown celeb on the list.
Akshay Kumar ranked 76th and Salman Khan was on the 82nd spot on the list.
According to the list, Akshay’s earnings stand at a staggering $40.5M, as of July 16, 2018, while Salman Khan earned $37.7M. Shah Rukh Khan who held the 65th spot last year with reported earnings of $38 million, missed out on the ranks this time.
However, both ‘Akki’ and ‘Bhai’ were there in the list of 2017, grabbing the 71st and 80th positions respectively. For a fact, they have topped international celebrities like Rihanna and Kris Jenner this time.
As far as the toppers are concerned, boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather took the ace position with a colossal $285 million. Actor George Clooney is in the second position with $239 million. 20-year-old Kylie Jenner ranked at the third position with $166.5 million and is the youngest person on the list.
