What is it like to get your first period? What is it like to know that your life is going to change completely? Getting your period is a life changing experience. For most of us, it comes as a shock. All of a sudden we are burdened with womanhood, a long list of do’s and don’ts, and continuous adjustments that we now have to do to accommodate ourselves with our periods.

Old Delhi Films asked these women about their first period, and the answers, though varied, perfectly sum up the array of emotions that a little girl feels after getting her first period. This video also raises one very important issue – the lack of awareness about periods among women in India.
