It wasn’t long ago when Fatima Sana Shaikh surprised us with her acting and wrestling prowess in Aamir Khan starer, ‘Dangal‘.  The same that broke records and set the cash register ringing in the most dhakkad way possible.

The point of all is, the actress is all set to work with Aamir again (in fact opposite) in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. She is also gearing up to share screen space with none other than, Amitabh Bachchan.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Fatima was “extremely excited and happy” about the same. Talking about her struggles post ‘Dangal’, she said,

“I wasn’t offered the job on a platter. So, it was like Dangal part 2 for me (laughs). I gave so many auditions that I feel that I went through the same phase again.”

She addressed the fact that she is going to play Aamir’s heroine now and how it shouldn’t change anything because at the end she is an actor.

“I used to get disheartened and sad because I thought, ‘Me playing his daughter in the film shouldn’t be the reason for me not getting the part’. That’s our job, and you keep playing different characters from different age groups. So, I don’t have any issues.”

On being asked if she would ever like to play a part opposite the kind of romance, Shah Rukh Khan, Fatima had the answer we all knew she would. (Remember her long-standing crush on SRK?)

“I will have no issues doing that. I’m just feeding this into the universe (laughs). Kaash unke saath bhi aise hi ek film mil jaaye.”

However, it is completely different when Aamir is in the scene. The beautiful lass further goes on to describe her feelings for Aamir that are truly precious for words.

“He’s everything rolled into one — a friend, a guru and a guide. I can talk to him about anything. I can also discuss with him things like, ‘I have had a crush on someone, so please tell me what to do’. Sanya (Malhotra) and I go to him for all our love-related problems, and he solves them for us.”

Now isn’t that sweet? Also, I would have never imagined Aamir as a love guru. Up until now of course!
