Speaking of which, an Aussie couple celebrated a rather unusual milestone in their relationship. Ryan McErlean, 24, purchased a fancy cheesecake to congratulate his girlfriend Kaylie Warren, 21, for farting in his presence after being in a relationship for 3 years, reports the Daily Mail.

Yes, you read that right! The happy couple, from the Gold Coast, Queensland, had made a pact that if dental nurse Kaylie ever broke wind in his presence, he would buy her a sweet treat. Aww, so sweet!

Ryan said that he was comfortable farting in front of his girl from the very beginning. He was quoted saying, “But Kaylie is more polite when it comes to that sort of thing, so maybe a month or two into our relationship when I hadn’t heard one yet I said it to assure her it was alright to do – it was to break the ice.”

However, it took Kaylie three whole years before finally slipping up. Her boyfriend was filled with ‘pure surprise and joy’ when he heard her fart late in the night. The sound was so loud that the couple woke up. In fact, Kaylie even tried to blame their pet dog for the act.

Kaylie was taken by surprise when Ryan actually got her the hand-iced cake. She was quoted saying, “He did say at the start of the relationship that he would get me a cake, I held off for dramatic effect I guess. But when I saw the cake, it was the funniest thing ever.”

Ryan was quoted saying by The Sun, “It’s something everything can relate to as a couple – everyone has a weird milestone they cherish or fulfil, it’s a little bond they have that makes it special.”
