The Indian cricket team recently scripted history by retaining the Border-Gavaskar trophy after defeating the Australian team by 3 wickets at The Gabba. A memorable series ended in a very special win.

The younger players like Rishabh Pant, Washington Sunder, Mohammed Siraj, Shubham Gill, and T Natarajan emerged as new heroes after the Test match. Most of them have been mentored by ex-India A coach Rahul Dravid at the U-19 level from 2016-19.
A fitting birthday gift for Rahul Dravid 🎁

Soon after, fans and celebrities started thanking Dravid, who had taken over as head coach of NCA (National Cricket Academy) in Bengaluru post his retirement, where he groomed young players who play for India A team, HT reports.
His game understanding, composure, defence, ability to leave and duck and of course the shots he played, #washingtonsundar would make #RahulDravid proud with his batting today. What a gem of an innings that may have saved the Test #INDvsAUS pic.twitter.com/upv2nGNAba

Another special day to thank the dynamic and enduring mentorship given to India youngsters by the great #RahulDravid. What a man! #INDvsAUS

If India is still able to put out a reasonable team, we should applaud the 'A' tours over the last 3-4 years. Without them, the gap between fc and international cricket would have been very tough to bridge. Quiet thanks to Rahul Dravid too for the finishing school he has been.

Brilliant fighting 50s for @imShard & @Sundarwashi5. See it this way. India are holding their own at the Gabba with fully a 2nd string attack & lower batting order. Such amazing depth Rahul Dravid’s mentoring has built.

He is NOT on Twitter but #RahulDravid is the man behind the rise of all these players at National Cricket Academy and India `A' : Gill, Shardul, Sundar, Siraj, Saini, Pant…Let us hail Dravid the astute cricket mind even as we celebrate the feat Down Under🙏🙏🙏🙏

As someone said on WhatsApp: We have to also give credit to Rahul Dravid for grooming our youths in the India A setup. Players like Gill, Siraj, Sundar, and Thakur had an instant impact! #IndiavsAustralia #IndianCricketTeam

No Indian victory is complete without a Rahul Dravid factor https://t.co/nSbFdmYzet

In an office at the NCA in Bangalore, Rahul Dravid must be watching and feeling proud of the India A and India U19 programs he's developed, which gave India their depth.
Then, he'll quietly get back to work planning the next series.

…after being racially abused and sledged and their morale 'scuffed up' like batting marks can display such superhuman resilience, spunk and skill in a hostile away series with a World Test Championship at stake. And apart from the players, hats off to Rahul Dravid for…

preparing a reserve bench which humbles the best & Shastri, for all reservations, for infusing in the team the heart with which he played despite limitations. P.S.Vaughan (4-0) & McGrath (3-0) NEVER ever try to play Nostradamus with this team lest you end up looking like fools!

Well done @Sundarwashi5 Rahul Dravid told me in Bangladesh during U19 WC that he was the man to watch with bat.. was speaking of temperament .. and Sunda showing it now .. he was 16 then . Congratulations 👏

We just cannot forget what Rahul Dravid has done with our younger players. We're wondering how can they be so resilient in their 1st or 2nd matches! Let's not forget they've been trained & mentored by Dravid. Who's still serving Indian cricket like none other! 🇮🇳🏏 https://t.co/sz5RPfPQF9
