A family happily celebrating the birthday of their house-help is huge because even today, treating domestic workers with dignity and love is a very alien concept. Hence, when this video went viral, people lost their calm.
In the video shared by paparazzi photographer Viral Bhayani’s official Instagram handle, a family was seen throwing a special birthday party for their Maushi.
On seeing her birthday cake on the table in the drawing room, the maid was ecstatic. She couldn’t believe her eyes. She was then comfortably seated on the sofa and the candle on her cake was lit.
The entire family got together to cut her cake just like they would do if it was the birthday of a family member.
They even made her some tea to make her feel special and this is when she got a little emotional and got teary-eyed.
Captioning the video, Bhayani wrote, “They don’t need gifts just love and happiness is enough for them on such special days.”
“We wanted to bring a smile on her face as she stays alone in the city with her husband and was excited for her birthday, my father-in-law bought cake for her and we celebrated it together ✨ Sometimes the smallest things you do to make someone smile is what stays with you forever. P.S :Before sleeping every night try to do something good for someone coz it will make you feel alive. Happiest Birthday Maushi! Thank you for always keeping our house clean and tidy without people like you we are.”

The video garnered a lot of love online. But some were also concerned about whether these guys treat their house-helps with such affection behind the camera or not.
This gesture is indeed laudable. And not just on special days, we should give these people respect throughout the year as without them our homes wouldn’t even function. Salute to all the helpers who make our lives so smooth.
