People Are Taking ‘Fake A Plane Ride’ Challenge Using Household Props & The Videos Are Amusing

Did you know, Instagram has this ‘Your Activity’ feature that tells you how much time you’ve spent on the app? It calculates the average time spent per day for the past week. And I am ashamed to say my number is quite high. I am seriously considering the ‘Set Daily Reminder’ feature which they have generously provided to ‘Manage My Activity’ but more on that later.

Since I spend so much time on social media, I’m constantly bombarded with people and their perfect vacation photos. I love ‘double tapping’ them but sometimes though, I get FOMO. Which is why I was so happy to know that I’m not alone and there are others out there who feel the same way. And they also have a fun ‘jugaad’ for the situation.

People in China are taking the ‘How To Pretend You’re On A Plane’ Challenge and posting their fake holiday videos online! What’s interesting is that they’re using travel brochures, smartphones, chairs, detergent bottles and even toilet seats to create them.

Chinese people use creative tricks to fake traveling on plane

The challenge went viral during the Spring Festival when a lot of people generally take vacations. Everyone decided to have fun, with some even including their pets in fooling others.

According to Daily Mail UK, this challenge has garnered 27 million views on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site) and 24 million views on Douyin (another name for TikTok, the app that Tamil Nadu government is planning to ban).

I’m definitely trying this out over the weekend. Will you do it too?
