Off late, many big companies like Meta, Amazon, and Twitter had shown the door to scores of employees in the mass layoff. Moreover, ever since the pandemic hit us, there has been a job crunch in the country putting a pause on the campus placements from educational institutes. But, this woman has made her family proud by doing the unexpected during the recent placement session.
Aditi Tiwari, a final-year student of Electronics and Communication at NIT Patna recently bagged a record-breaking package by Meta-owned Facebook.
According to DNA, Facebook hired her as a front-end engineer and has offered to pay her Rs 1.6 crores which is the highest-ever package acquired by a student in placements. Till now, the highest package offered to a student at NIT Patna has been around Rs 50-60 lakhs as per the training and placement cell of the institute.
Republic World reported the Training and Placement officer at NIT Patna Dr Shailesh M Pandey saying, “It is a matter of pride that the students are excelling at the campus placements. Despite the pandemic, the students have been conscious of their studies and careers.”
The 2022 placement season broke the institute’s five-year record.
