12 Films That Will Show You Europe Better Than Any Trip

One of the best places to travel in the world is the beautiful continent of Europe. From Italy to Barcelona, Iceland to Istanbul, every inch of Europe is soaked in rich culture and inexplicable beauty.

It is said that when something is naturally beautiful, it becomes very difficult to capture that essence and fervour. But, some directors did a brilliant job and made these films, that showed us the whole continent tastefully.

1. Midnight in Paris

No other film can describe Paris more accurately than this one. The story is about the man who travels to Paris along with his fiancée’s family, and mysteriously discovers himself entering Paris in the 1920s, every day after midnight. The theme of nostalgia and modernism fused together is beautifully portrayed.

 

2. Letters to Juliet

Sophie travels to Verona with her fiance for a little pre-wedding honeymoon, only he left her there for his soon-to-open restaurant work. While exploring Verona alone, Sophie discovers an unanswered ‘Letter to Juliet’ on Juliet’s wall. She answers it and that made the receiver, Clair, come all the way from London with her grandson Charlie, to look for her love, Lorenzo. So, Sophie, Claire, and Charlie travel across Italy to look for Lorenzo Bartolini, to reunite two lovers after 50 years.

 

3. Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Vicky and Cristina spend summer in Barcelona and get smitten by a painter, Juan Antonio. He also gets attracted to both of them. Although, his mentally and emotionally unstable ex-wife, María Elena, comes back in the picture.
