There is nothing that unites Indians across the world as sports does, especially cricket. Cricket, in India, is a separate phenomenon altogether; a religion on its own. We celebrated when Virat Kohli carried Sachin Tendulkar on his shoulders back in 2011, and we cried as we saw the men in blue devastated after losing to Australia last year. But this year, Team India brought the World Cup home after defeating South Africa at the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados.
After coming back from Barbados, the entire team met the Prime Minister at his residence. This was followed by a Victory Parade at Marine Drive in Mumbai. All the players were on an open-top bus which slowly moved through Marine Drive. They were greeted by a sea of people, dressed in the blue jersey.
This feeling of seeing our players being surrounded by so much love is unparalled.
Just look at that crowd!
Never give a final in India to any other stadium again.

The players were felicitated at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The stadium, as expected, was PACKED! The energy at Wankhede Stadium to this day remains undefeated.
The team took a round of the stadium, lifting the World Cup high.
Just look at that!
