As per a report in News18, one of the prototypes of SpaceX called SN10 successfully took off from Boca Chica, Texas. It reached an altitude of 10 kilometers, descended horizontally, and even landed upright on the Gulf of Mexico. Check out the moment shared by astronaut Tim Peake when onlookers cheered on seeing the landing starship:
Incredible to watch @SpaceX #Starship nail the landing on just the 3rd attempt. SN10 exploded 8 mins later but hey, that’s what a test program is for. pic.twitter.com/NA0mDSZQLG

But the excitement didn’t last long. 8 minutes post landing, the space rocket combusted into flames, allegedly due to a methane tank leak. SpaceX founder Elon Musk posted a solemn tweet stating, “RIP SN10, honorable discharge” which confirmed the incident.
