Growing up, we idolized a lot of fictional superheroes. But now that we’re older, we know that real heroes don’t wear elaborate costumes or capes. Often we don’t even know their names but their compassion and thoughtfulness is the greatest motivator. For example, the elderly sardarji in Delhi who offered cold water to passersby last summer and the 80-year-old coolie in Lucknow who carried luggage of daily wage earners free of cost.
IAS officer Nitin Sangwan shared a video of a 91-year-old man in Gurugram who waters roadside plants at 4 am every day despite his back pain.
आप की उम्र 91 साल है, कमर भी दुख्ती है।
फिर भी, गुड़गांव में हर रोज सुबह 4 बजे पब्लिक रोड़ पर पौधों को पानी देने पहुंच जाते हैं।

Since it was the municipal corporation that planted the greenery in public spaces, people think that they should reward the elderly gentleman for helping with their upkeep.
He deseves an award by the Municipal corporation for setting such a unique example at his age 👏
