Elderly people have shown a real zest for learning in the past few months! With the pandemic making the usage of technology a necessity, people as old as 90-years are learning how to use laptops and smartphones to learn new things. Like the 106-year-old grandma from Kerala who learnt how to use a laptop to study online.
Similarly, an elderly couple has put technology to good use and are learning how to play the harmonium completely by themselves. They are following tutorials on YouTube to learn new notes. A video of the couple enjoying a musical session was posted on Twitter by their son. Have a look:
Using technology to self learn. Dad and Mom using Harmonium notes from YouTube and learning music. So proud when I saw this. pic.twitter.com/v7DefTJfdY

People on the internet loved how the duo are utilising these uncertain times to learn new things with the help of the internet. A few others shared similar stories from their families where elderly people are reading books online and attending online classes. Have a look:
My Father is joining his Parkinson exercises on Zoom. He is exercising more than he has ever done. He now reads books, Watches videos, listens to music. Has full gear including Webcam and BT Headset. The way he has adapted is amazing.

My mom attends her music class through zoom 2-3times a week n she royally steals my ipad to do so without a second thought. I couldn’t be happier with a theft. 🥰

There is always something new to learn! Maybe all of us can use this time to learn new skills online. What do you think? Tell us!
