But finally, we’re getting a mainstream lesbian love story in the form of ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’.

The movie is directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, who has co-written the movie with Gazal Dhaliwal. It stars Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Rajkummar Rao and Regina Cassandra.

‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ is the first mainstream Bollywood movie to come out after the historic strike down of Section 377. So, the very existence of this film is hugely important for the LGBTQ community. And the fact that it’s getting positive reviews is simply a ton of icing on the cake.
