Boy Becomes Hero After Breaking An Egg On Aussie Senator’s Head For His Islamophobic Comments

Bigots of every kind are everywhere and they will stop at nothing to express themselves publicly. One of the recent examples of that came from Australia where a Senator made a ton of inflammatory statements regarding the Christchurch shootings in New Zealand.

In a public statement, Senator Fraser Anning condemned the Christchurch shootings that took place on 15th March. However, then he went onto justify the attacks and criticise Islam in general.

His statement read:

“As always, left-wing politicians and the media will rush to claim that the causes of today’s shootings lie with gun laws or those who hold nationalist views but this is all cliched nonsense.

The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place.

Let us be clear, while Muslims may have been the victims today, usually they are the perpetrators. World-wide, Muslims are killing people in the name of their faith on an industrial scale.”

Following that, he called Islam a “violent ideology of a sixth century despot masquerading as a religious leader” and quoted the Bible to bolster his thoughts on the killings.

Now, his statements were obviously met with a lot of flak. But they barely penetrated the thick skin that politicians like Anning have grown. He needed something more. He needed the wrath of Egg Boy.

The Australian senator was at a press conference talking about the New Zealand mass shooting, while Eggboy (his actual name is Will Connolly) was standing behind him. He listened to him quite patiently as Anning condemned the attacks. But when he started to justify his previous comments, he pulled out an egg and cracked it on his head.

Here’s another angle of the incident:

Netizens hailed Conolly for egging Fanning and treated him like a superhero.

In addition to that, a GoFundMe page was been opened to reward Will “Egg Boy” Connolly financially. The page read:

“Our hero EggBoi takes on Fraser Anning, the senator for Queensland that is now despised around the world for comments made after the shooting at a New Zealand mosque.
Money raised will go to EggBoi for:- Legal fees
– More eggs”

However, according to the NZ Herald, Egg Boy has decided to donate the money (which is currently at around $45,000) to the victims of the Christchurch mosque attacks.

9News reported that despite getting egged, Senator Anning’s views haven’t changed about the shootings. While talking about Egg Boy he said,

“He got a slap across the face, which is what his mother should have given him long ago. When somebody cracks you in the back of your head, you react and defend yourself. That for years is what Australians have been doing, luckily they did that in the trenches otherwise we’d be all speaking German now.”

Well, now thanks to Egg Boy, a new generation will be standing up to Islamophobes with eggs in their hands.

Although Will (or Egg Boy) has stayed mostly silent throughout this frenzy, he did put up a suggestion for every rebellious teen out there.

Will Connolly wasn’t charged with anything and was allowed to leave. On the other hand, Fanning has faced a lot of heat after the incident. Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said that Senator Anning should face the full force of the law over his actions. And Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has urged voters to dump Senator Anning for his views on the Christchurch attack.
