From Dosa To Idiyappam, Dutch Woman Who Married A Desi Learns To Cook South Indian Dishes

It has always made us proud when foreigners acknowledge the beauty of Indian culture and try to adopt it in their lives. Earlier, desis went nuts when a foreign national discovered that ‘dahi’ can be made at home.

This time, a video of a Dutch woman is being praised wherein she is seen learning how to cook South Indian cuisine.

The video was originally shared by Instagram user Prabhu Visha of his wife A. Stefanie where she learns to cook Indian food and embraces desi culture, one desi dish at a time.

From dosa to idiyappam, poori, appam, puttu, and more, Prabhu’s mom is seen teaching Stefanie how lip-smacking food is prepared, in another video. And IMO, Stefanie is nailing it on her first attempt.

This video that opens up with Stefanie making dosa ends with her serving hot chai to her in-laws.

This woman is doing it better than most desis, for sure. People online were in awe of her and lauded her for accepting her husband’s culture with so much grace and love.

Kudos to the woman for her spirit. It’s so sweet of her.
