Don’t get me wrong. Kapil Dev was absolutely world class and is one of my all time favorites. Today, I was totally shaken up when he triggered a controversy by saying, ‘Sachin Tendulkar batted like Bombay batsmen and didn’t do justice to his talent’.
I totally respect his opinions, but as a cricket fan, I love him for the way he entertained us on the pitch. Twitterati reacted and one more thing I learnt today was, do whatever you want to do in life but never ever mess with the GOD!
Social Media is a great way for celebrities to connect with their fans. However, celebrities getting embroiled in controversies aren’t rare on Twitter. From Anushka Sharma to Chetan Bhagat, I’ve assembled some of the dumbest tweets that celebrities ever posted.
So, here are 9 such celebrities in no particular order because I believe all the tweets are equally dumb:
1. However, Farah Khan Ali deserves to kick it off
Salman is responsible for the lively hood of many people at large and the judgement is too harsh. I hope he gets some reprive in appeal.
— Farah Khan (@FarahKhanAli) May 6, 2015
Such intelligent. Much wow.
2. Anushka Sharma, it’s Abdul Kalam…and not Kalam Azad
You disappointed me, big time. Some GK lessons, maybe?
3. Abhijeet Bhattacharya free from all controversies is like a lake without water
..or maybe a desert without sand.
4. Rishi Kapoor taking a controversial dig at Sonakshi Sinha
Not surprised. IKR?
5. The most explosive (read: stupid) words uttered by the great Jacky Bhagnani
Take a bow. /
6. Controversy plays a very crucial role in Ram Gopal Verma’s career
I am sooooo happyyy India lost because I hate cricket..nd if there’s anything I hate more than cricket then it’s people who love cricket
— Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) March 26, 2015
Trying to become a hero with your bold statements. Huh?
7. KRK. Naam hi kaafi hain!
His tweets sound like they’re written by a child who hates punctuation marks.
8. Sonu Nigam with his top-notch tweet about Radhe Maa
Just my 2 pence. Kaali Maa is depicted in lesser clothes than Radhey Maa. Interesting that this country wants to sue a woman for her clothes
— Sonu Nigam (@sonunigam) August 16, 2015
Did I just say top-notch?
9. Recently, Chetan Bhagat sparked a debate. No fucks given.
What do historians do? I am genuinely curious. This happened. Then this happened. Then this. Ok work done for the day.
— Chetan Bhagat (@chetan_bhagat) October 30, 2015
Sad. People always underestimate his intelligence.
All it takes are some 140 characters to become the center of attention.
