This is the slogan of AK Sajan who will be contesting the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala as an independent candidate.
Who is he taking on?
He will be contesting against MK Muneer, the Panchayat and Social Welfare Minister who is contesting from Kozhikode. Ironically, MK Muneer is AK Sajan’s former boss.
What’s so interesting about these two?
AK Sajan worked as Muneer’s driver for more than 10 years. He worked for ‘Indiavision’, a Malayalam language news channel owned by Muneer which shut shop in 2015 due to financial problems.
What happened after ‘Indiavision’ shut down?
More than 300 employees were let go without being paid a single penny. Â AK Sajan is taking on his former head and also has the backing of the former employees.
What does AK Sajan have to say?
“I am not sure about my win, but I want to tell my voters that Muneer has betrayed his employees. All his employees don’t have money to buy food, but he is enjoying his life,” Sajan said.
