Mumbai’s beautiful seacoast and aquatic life is a complete treasure in itself, from colorful coral colonies on the coasts of Haji Ali and Worli to pink flamingos in Navi Mumbai amid lockdown.
Now, in a rare sight, dolphins were spotted off Vashi Creek, splashing and playing in the city’s sea. A big dolphin alongside two baby dolphins were seen leaping in the water one after another. Onlookers who shot the video were left surprised at the proximity of these marine animals to the shore. Check it out:
Twitter exclaimed with delight at the sight of the majestic mammals:

This could be a common sight for all to enjoy if we humans (and Indians specifically) as a species could just clean up our act. https://t.co/uHMxaQut16

A large part of this creek was declared a #flamingo #sanctuary some years back and look at it now.

While it is not a common sight to spot dolphins in the region, some dolphins were seen skimming off Mumbai’s shores in the Arabian Sea while the city stood still during the Janta Curfew earlier in March this year.
