2 Dogs Have Been Waiting For Their Humans To Return After Kerala Landslide Since 3 Days

That’s how dogs are – incredibly faithful to their humans. They get anxious when their humans aren’t around for a long time. They wait for them to return home patiently and will stop eating and behave normally till they return.

The same happened to two dogs in Kerala when their humans disappeared after a massive landslide in Idukki 3 days ago which claimed at least 45 lives, reports Hindustan Times.

For the past few days, Kerala has been receiving extremely heavy rainfall. Places like Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasargod were alerted beforehand, reports Times Now.

In the site of the landslide, a rescue operation is ongoing as 20 people are still missing. Which is why the two dogs have been wandering around the site of the mishap waiting to catch a glimpse of their masters.

“The pets’ plight has moved everyone. Whenever a body is extricated, they rush to the spot. Then they return to the shade under the rocks, waiting for the next,” MJ Babu, a journalist from Munnar, told HT.

Some people tried to take the dogs to their homes so they could get some rest. Some even tried feeding them. But the dogs haven’t eaten a single morsel of food and wouldn’t move from the site.
