Any kind of professional game involves a lot of concentration and skill. Why? Because your opponent is always looking for that opening where you slip up and gift them their winning move.
It’s during these times where we pray for some miracle (or a Time Turner) to undo the mistakes we’ve done. And it turns out that it was an Argentine club goalkeeper whose prayers were answered in the form of a dog.
Two Argentine clubs, Juventud Unida de GualeguaychĂș and Defensores de Belgrano de Villa Ramallo, were in pitched battle during the third tier of the tournament. And Juventud’s attempt to extend their 3-0 lead was denied by a happy-go-lucky pupper.

The home team was already leading by 3 goals and was about to score another one, thanks to a blunder by Belgrano goalie, Brian Leandro Olivera. However, as the ball bounced towards the goal, a doggo (who just happened to be out for a walk) sent it back into the field. And with that simple task, it saved Olivera from further embarrassment. They aren’t called “humanity’s best friend” for no reason.
Netizens lauded the dog for coming into the game at the hour of crisis and preventing an unstoppable goal.

So, what are your thoughts on this canine footballer? Do you think he should signed on to the Indian national football team, just in case, you know, we need some goals to be saved?
