6-Ft Tall Doggo Weighing 44 Kg Thinks He’s Still A Puppy & Keeps Sitting On Owner’s Lap

Dog parents would totally relate to what I’m about to say: No matter how old your dog grows, she/he will always behave like they are a 3-months-old pup. It’s like taking care of a toddler, but for nearly 12 years!

Here’s an example. Meet Rowlf, a 2-year-old poodle who still thinks he’s a puppy because he keeps on sitting on his owner’s lap, reports Mirror UK. FYI, he is 6-feet long and weighs approximately 44 kgs!

“He’s a legend, he’s huge. He doesn’t really know his own size, he thinks he’s a little puppy or the same size as the bulldogs,” said Craig, Rowlf’s dog-dad.

“He’s very funny. Rowlf will go to get on a normal-size (dog) bed and just sit down on it. He is so much bigger than the other two. He’s not clumsy, but he does like to lay on things, and if that is a tiny bed, he tries to make himself as small as possible,” he added.

Craig went on to reveal how Rowlf occasionally hops on his lap, thinking himself to be a “lapdog”.

Behind all these hilarious instances, Rowlf’s presence has been a blessing for Craig and his family. According to a report by Mail Online, Craig had suffered a “life-threatening” stroke 2 years back. It was then when his family brought Rowlf home, of course back then he was just a foot tall!

“He (Rowlf) helped with my rehabilitation as my stroke was quite a significant bump in the road. He’s been such a support,” said Craig.

Walking Rowlf was a daily exercise which helped Craig recover and come out stronger. Thanks to the poodle, Craig is in a much better place, both physically and mentally.

It is said that you never know what true love is unless you have been loved by a dog. This story just goes on to prove how true that is!
