Anyone who has a social media account has at one time or the other seen the “distracted boyfriend” meme. The picture of a guy holding hands with his girlfriend and appreciatively whistling at another girl went viral in 2017. Did you know that the image was clicked by Antonio Guillem, a 45-year-old advertising photographer from Barcelona?

Also, according to Hollywood Reporter, the image is part of an entire photoshoot with models Laura (the angry girlfriend) and Mario (the distracted boyfriend).

And some Twitter users have discovered the rest of the photos which weave an interesting story. The boyfriend’s eyes wander when he is popping the question and even after they get engaged.

Subsequently, the two women meet and it turns out that they know each other. They spend a LOT of time together and romance blossoms between the two.

It finally ends with the two getting married! Didn’t see that coming, did you?

According to Times Now News, when Twitter user @_conradsleet shared this story, the tweet garnered 173,000 retweets and 481,000 likes.

People compared the guy to Ross from FRIENDS and how his ex-wife Carol met Susan. Some even saying that he deserved it.
