Dipa Karmakar Gave MA Exams Right After She Came Back From Rio. She’s the Perfect Youth Icon!

After becoming the first ever India woman to qualify for an Olympic gymnastics event, you would think that she would come home and rest. After all, Olympics is brutal on the body.

Dipa Karmakar, it seems, is the perfect girl. She excelled at the Olympics, and right after she got back to India, she gave her MA (Political Science) exams.

Dipa amazed the officials at the Tripura University and impressed them by her dedication to studies as she dove into the MA exam right after celebrations.

In an interview to NDTV the director of distance education at Tripura University said, “It’s a striking example to other students also. One who plays at the Olympic level can also study side by side to acquire higher education, along with her achievements in sports,”

Setting an example for the youth of the country one of her fellow students said,

“In our country people are usually given a choice between sports and academics. Dipa Karmakar has proved you can do both. The students of Tripura are extremely proud of her”

She is the perfect example of how students should conduct themselves. A balanced approach towards play and studies with a winning attitude in both.
