Sunday nights rarely end on a happy note because of the impending doom that is Monday. But that changed last night, when it was only euphoria all around as India clinched a victory in the Nidahas Trophy final against Bangladesh. And a huge credit for this exhilarating win goes to Dinesh Karthik!

With his 29 off 8 balls, and the finishing six reminiscent of M S Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik won not just the match for India but also everyone’s hearts!
The match had pretty much brought everyone at the edge of their seat, as India needed 34 runs off 12 balls. Vijay Shankar was sent in at No. 5 over Karthik, a decision which would be eventually mocked. But none of that seemed to matter in the end as India triumphed over the snake-dancing Bangladesh team, causing even Sri Lankan fans to wave the Indian flag!
