MS Dhoni Guides Kedar Jadhav From Behind The Stumps, Gives Advice In Marathi

Former skipper MS Dhoni’s batting has always been a pleasure to watch. His sensational knocks during the ODI series with Australia silenced all his critics. Apart from his helicopter shots, he is also known to give instructions to bowlers from behind the stumps. And most of the time, his plans bear fruit.

In the recent India-New Zealand 5th ODI match too, he had some words of wisdom for bowler Kedar Jadhav. What’s more interesting is the fact that the advice was delivered in Jadhav’s mother-tongue Marathi.

This was when New Zealand’s score was 180/7 while chasing a total of 252 runs

He can be heard saying,

“पुढे नको भाऊ….घेऊन टाक”

which translates to – “do not bowl overpitched…take a wicket”.

This is how the off-spinner felt when he heard Dhoni

And the advice worked this time as well. Kedar Jadhav was successful in taking the wicket of Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson. This helped the men in blue restrict their opponents to 217 runs and win the match (and the series 4-1).

Dhoni has a real knack for these things, don’t you think? A born leader whose experience has helped the entire team!
