Dhaka Streets Turn Into Rivers Of Blood Due To Eid Sacrifices And Heavy Rains!

Rivers of blood.

The citizens of Dhaka witnessed a dreadful sight on the occasion of Eid Al-aadha, that has left the whole world dumbfounded.

The streets of Dhaka were found running in streams of water, blood-red in colour. The widely done animal sacrifice, heavy downpour and clogged drainages were the reasons why rivers of blood were flowing throughout the city.

Despite that, the city was indulged, tending to the rituals of the festival, attending mosques, offering prayers and meeting friends and family.

While some criticised the government of their languid pace of clean up others argued that people did not use the designated spots for sacrificing their animals.

Two major cities in Dhaka were offered 496 and 504 spots for slaughter but some slaughtered them in their garages, in front of their houses or any place comfortable.

Khandker Millatul Islam, a management official confirmed that waterlogging has been a problem in the city for a long time and that they are now working on it.
