Have you noticed how kids nowadays have ridiculously fancy names? Gone are the days of Raj, Rahul and Ravi. In the past couple of years, we have seen the rise of Kiara, Aryaveer, and Shayra. However, no one would have thought that with K-Drama popularity in India, a lot of parents might consider naming their kids after popular K-Drama characters!
Speaking of which, a woman named Divya took to X to share how a cousin and his wife are considering naming their child after a K-Drama character. The couple, who have binged all popular shows, came up with three options – Kim Soo-Hyun Tripathi, Choi Seung-Hyo Tripathi and Kang Tae-Moo Tripathi.
My cousin and his wife met while discussing Kdrama on comment section and since then they have binge-watched all the Kdramas on Netflix.

Responding to the post, several people begged the couple to not ruin the poor kid’s life because, let’s face it, such a name in India would make the child’s life miserable!
god saves that child

They’re going to give the kid a lifetime of name calling at school and work if they stay in India 😂

Okay so unless your cousin or his wife are Korean, this will not end well if they’re planning to raise the baby in India. This like naming your baby ′CocaCola′, it’s all fun and games until bullying becomes an everyday reality for the child.

Better raise the child in Korea as well, varna Kisi Sae-Moo dikhane layak nahi reh jayega.

Remember when young parents from the early 2000s started naming their sons Hrithik after ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ became a blockbuster? 😛
