Unemployed Dentist Seeking ‘Very Fair, Rich & Working Bride’ In Matrimonial Ad Irks Twitter

Sometimes, people get very creative with matrimonial ads. Some of them turn out to very heart-warming, like the one by the 84-year-old grandpa with eyes, nose, ears, teeth, and knees working just fine looking for his perfect match. On the other hand, there are some ads that make you cringe to the core, like the one by a 37-year-old industrialist who was seeking a ‘non-feminist’ bride below the age of 26 years.

One such, cringeworthy matrimonial ad, recently caught the attention of desi Twitter. As per the ad, a 30-year-old dentist from Bihar is seeking a Brahmin bride with qualities like that of Tulsi, Parvati or Kumkum – the Sarvagun Samppan bahus from Indian daily soaps!

The dentist who is ‘presently not working’ is looking for a bride who is “very fair, beautiful, very loyal, very trustworthy, loving, caring, brave, powerful and rich,” reports News 18. Apart from this, the woman should also be “extremely patriotic” about India and “help in improving India’s military capabilities”.

The man wants his wife to be an excellent cook and an expert in child-raising too. Phewww!

The regressive ad obviously drew flak from Desi Twitter. Here’s what netizens had to say about it:

Too many expectations! We wonder how the ad loaded with sexism, elitism, casteism, colorism, patriarchy even made its way to the newspaper. God save the woman who marries him!
