Customer Catches Delivery Boy Enjoying His Fries While Standing At His Door

Apart from the people who probably have a form of potato allergy, almost everyone loves them. And if they’re fresh, cut into long strips and fried till they’re golden, nobody can resist it. Even the thought of it is making you salivate, isn’t it? However, if you’re delivering those french fries to someone, you’ve to resist the temptation like a Jedi or face the music.

According to the Daily Mail, an Uber Eats employee from Melbourne, Australia lacked that Jedi-like resistance and gave in to the sweet, crispy call of the french fries he was delivering. Radio show host, Eddie McGuire said,

“A good friend of mine, had the home security system going. He walks up to his door. This is the Uber deliver boy. Rings the doorbell, has a bit of a look, has a crack at the door. No one around. Looking inside the bag, likes what he sees, puts his hand in the bag and chowed down on the fries.”

McGuire’s friend apparently recorded this after he felt that his meals were lighter than he expected them to be. However, another host on his show defended the Uber Eats employee by saying,

“The poor guy, they are not getting paid very well, the Uber delivery drivers. If you can’t get a tip, you gotta get the chip.”

Sounds fair, kind of.

The video has gone viral and been millions of times. That’s why it was obvious that Uber Eats was going to take some necessary steps to address this situation. They said,

“Delivery partners using Uber Eats are expected to comply with the Uber Eats community guidelines which explain they can lose access to the app for tampering with orders.”

That doesn’t sound good for the employee, does it?

Any kind of food delivery services work according to a simple equation. They make quality food, we pay in full, they deliver the food and we gobble it up. But if the food disappears somewhere in between, that will have consequences. So, next time if a delivery guy wants a piece of french fry, maybe they can just ask instead of going behind our back and eating it without our consent.
